​Yesterday October, 11, 2017 I posted a video to Instagram with the quote above and pictures of illustrations I've created.  Here is my connection to this particular quote and my connection to the Day of the Girl.

​It is because of you… you who have seen something beautiful in me and complimented me, spoken it over me and prayed it over me, that I am valiant. 

It is because of you, sister, that I have the courage to share my art. Something that grows from within until I give life to it on paper.

It is because of you, friend, that I have the confidence to pursue my dreams. You told me to keep going, you told me I was talented and so I started a business. 

It is because of you, art lover, that I continue to create. You told me my art made you happy and so I create with you in mind and with a smile on my face.

It is because of you, friends from random coffee shops, that I tell my story. You saw me drawing and asked about what I do. Thank you for approaching me. Thank you for being a light to me. .

Your words are powerful. Your words are nurturing to the girls and women in your life. Use them wisely to celebrate Her.
