For those of you who haven't been following my journey for long, I am relatively new to the Etsy scene. And very new to selling my work at all. I opened my shop in March, after months of preparation and fear took up my time. I create illustrations and paintings, using both a traditional and digital approach, and color them with either Copic Markers, Winsor & Newton ProMarkers, and a variety of paints. My favorites are watercolors, from either Redwood Willow, Winsor & Newton or Japanese brand, Kuretake Gansai Tambi. It isn't difficult to open a shop. But I wanted it to be perfect so I tried very hard to make sure that it was. With just the right amount of products, great product descriptions and a beautiful cover image, among other things. My shop will be open now for 4 months, on July 28th. I have sold 6 items so far. *cries* This is such a special experience for me. When someone buys something from my shop, one of the first things I do is check where that person is from or more specifically where I'm shipping the product. The first person to buy from me on Etsy was from New York. So now, I've created a special map using a free printable from Mr. Printables to track the states where my art finds its "Forever Home" <3
My goal is to have every state colored in by this time next year and maybe some buyers outside of the United States. I hope you all will join me on this quest to achieve my goals as I continue to grow as an artist and entrepreneur. Any updates to this pretty map will be posted on here or on Instagram, so please follow along.
